I was finally able to get to my favourite candy store today and pick up some more yummy goodness!
Yesterday, I was sitting here thinking about the long list of items I need to get to complete all my WIP's (work-in-progresses), when I got to thinking, how many WIP's do I actually have?
I know I have quite a few, so I decided to make a list of all of them, and found that I have more than a dozen on the go at various stages. Some of these, I have shared updates and sneak peeks, and others, I have been working on in secret. Even though I've got quite a few on the list so far, I can't help but feel I am forgetting some... Thanks to the lovely Kinga of My Hobby is Crochet, I learned about Bundles on Ravelry, and how easy they are to set up (See her post about Ravelry Bundles here). Now, I have all my Patterns sorted into several bundles which makes it so much easier see everything I have in them. Here is what my original designs page on ravelry looks like now... Most of you already know that almost all of my work is crocheted with cotton thread size 10 (it is the only quality yarn I can get here - luckily for me, I can get it is a huge array of colours). So, I got to thinking a while ago how handy it would be to have some swatches of the cotton thread colours I know I can get here with their colour code numbers.
There are several reasons why this will come in handy for me... I am still getting a few things in order for the wedding accessories, and if all goes well the first and possibly second parts will be available later this week.
I am thinking that it may be best to switch part 2 - the veil assembly - with part 3 - the flower appliques, since some of the larger flowers will be used like a headpiece base for the cage veils, and most flowers are meant to be placed onto the veils anyway. Also by making the switch, I will be able to get all of the patterns out to you sooner. So that is a plus... I am working a little slower than usual this month to give myself a little rest from the craziness and fun of my two most recent pattern releases - "Happily Ever After" and "Pretty in Pink" (free). But rest assured that I am working diligently on these wedding accessories, along with prepping for the Mermaids (you may have seen the little sneak preview of the mermaid's friend on Facebook). Plus, I've even got a secret project underway that I am not quite ready to reveal just yet, but I will tell you that one of you suggested it in the Crochet Pattern Survey from May. Wishing you all a fantastic week full of sunshine! Sedie from Yarn Obsession has been interviewing many lovely ladies of crochet, and just the other day we did one together. She asked me several fun questions. Some having to do with crochet, and others have nothing to do with crochet. You can check out my interview with Sedie here: Rebeckah's Treasures a Yarn Obsession Crochet Business Interview Two of my favourite crochet people recently wrote 10 random things about themselves. It started with Sedie of Yarn Obsession, and was then followed by Lorene of Cre8tion Crochet. Both are such beautiful people, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that we have even more things in common besides crochet. I share 5 random things with Sedie and 3 with Lorene, which I think is pretty cool. I thought both of theirs were brilliant, and that you all would like to know a little bit more behind the face of Rebeckah's Treasures. So, here's 10 random things you may not know about me...
