Crochet Ken Claus, Barbie Claus, Elf Kelly, and Elf Tommy by Rebeckah's Treasures

As you all know, I have been crocheting Christmasy things. I have already designed two crochet snowmen patterns, and now I have finished designing Elves Kelly & Tommy and a Mrs. Barbie Claus of which I am working on turning into patterns to be published by the end this week. I am also working on finishing the design for Mr. Santa Ken Claus. Since I still have to finish designing the coat and bag of presents, I don't think I will have the pattern for him ready in time for my Thanksgiving Sale. He should be ready for next week for sure, but I will make him available as a Pre-Order so you all can take full advantage of the sale.

Criss Cross Diamond Crochet Stitch

Rebeckah's Treasures' Criss Cross Diamond Stitch

Here is a fun stitch I came up with while I was working on a custom order for my auntie last month (see criss cross diamond romper layette). It is very similar to the diamond stitch (links to video tutorial). However, this one differs in that it creates "X's" that form overlapping diamonds when the points touch. Hence why I decided to call it the criss cross diamond stitch.

It is basically a foundation row of single crochet, then two repeat rows. One row of double crochet first. Then, a row of single crochet and double treble crochet into posts of the previous single crochet row. Continue below for the pattern...

About one year ago, I decided to take the plunge and start Rebeckah's Treasures. With input from friends and family, I came up with the name Rebeckah's Treasures, and got started on designing my website. My official one year anniversary isn't until March 17th next year, but I thought that I should celebrate this momentous event and my birthday which is on the 11th, with a fun give away!

Rebeckah's Treasures' Crochet Criss Cross Diamond Romper Layette with Monkey

Back in May, I found out from my auntie that my cousins were expecting a baby, and that she wanted to order a special crocheted gift for her first grandbaby by Rebeckah's Treasures. She wanted to wait to find out the baby's sex before deciding what I should make. We found out that it would be a boy, just as I had guessed, in August.

She wasn't certain exactly what she wanted, so I sent her a few pictures of ideas I had. She liked two of the ideas, so using them as a starting point, I got started crocheting the romper late in September.

I worked on this project throughout the entire month of October, and I was able to send it to her last Monday. It arrived safely on Friday, and I am happy to report that it was well received by my auntie and my cousins, the parents-to-be.
