I wanted to add some dogs to my collection of Amigurumi Animals. My Fiance's Sister suggested I start with a poodle. So this is what I came up with. At first, I had her nose/mouth as pink and she looked like a rodent. By changing it to black, I was able to make her look more like a dog. I used Sharon's basic pattern for the Little Bigfoot Collection as a starting point, and then changed it up to get the look I wanted. She is 3" tall. Check out Amigurumi Animals to see other animals I have made in a similar fashion. Or continue reading below for the pattern on how I made her.

My mom gave me the idea of crocheting a kangaroo. So this is what I came up with. My youngest sister suggested that I make a crocodile because she thought it would be cool. So this is what I came up with. I spent lots of time working on him to get the look pictured. I think I might spend some more time later tweaking him a bit to get a cleaner look. I used Sharon's basic pattern for the Little Bigfoot Collection as a starting point, and then changed it up to get the look I wanted. He is 2.25" tall. Here are some fun photos I took of the Mama Monkey and Her Baby Monkey. Aren't they cute together! The baby monkey holds onto the mama monkey just like real monkeys do! For those of you coming here from Amigurumi Animals - Can you see now why I couldn't separate them? To see a brief description of how I made these monkeys and some other animals, or for some links to free patterns on how to make similar animals, check out Amigurumi Animals. All of the projects above were worked with crochet cotton (3-10 size?) and 1.6mm hook (I think? It only says size 3, and I have a 1.7mm hook that also says size 3, but it is slightly larger than the one I used). Except for the Bear, every bit was crochet, minus some embroidery of the eyes, some noses, and the mouth's. Most of the little ones took about 1 full day to complete. The big ones and the rest of the little ones took about 2-3 days to complete.
I really like amigurumi, and I wanted to make some mini animals! So I went searching for patterns for inspiration in September, and I came across Sharon Ojala's Little Bigfoot Collection. I thought they were so cute! I love all sorts of books, especially notebooks! So I decided to watch some youtube videos on how to make them. Then, I combined what I learned to make these 80 page notebooks. A couple of them are actually colouring books that I crafted by taking free colouring pages from the internet and printing them out onto paper! Some of these were made in September and others were made in October. The checkered pink one is the first one I made. |
