Most of you already know that almost all of my work is crocheted with cotton thread size 10 (it is the only quality yarn I can get here - luckily for me, I can get it is a huge array of colours). So, I got to thinking a while ago how handy it would be to have some swatches of the cotton thread colours I know I can get here with their colour code numbers.

This crochet pattern includes written directions on how to crochet the hat from the Santa Crochet Pattern for Male Fashion Dolls (click link to visit full santa pattern). This hat fits the Ken Doll by Mattel. Enjoy! Since we have been having a Christmas in July this month, I thought it would be only fitting to round up some Seasonal Christmas Crochet Patterns. This week I bring to you 18 fantastic pay patterns - including toys, decorations and even some baby and pet apparel - by several fabulous designers...
I have been aching to try Irish Crochet, and I have been wanting a new top. So, I decided that I would finally give it a go.
Right now I am just experimenting with different motifs and colours. I want to make it floral and in my favourite colours, so I have chosen a few purples, greens and blues. I may pick a few more colours to add to these ones, and I think that I will use a brown lace background, but we shall have to see... My SIL also asked me to make her a simple carrier for her yoga mat. She picked a turquoise colour to match her car, and this is what I came up with. It has a stretchy headband-like tube for either end, which are joined together by strap. I demo two methods to hold the yoga mat carrier to the left. If you would like to make something similar, continue reading below... This weekend, I was able to finish the lacy crochet piece of the sweater my SIL asked me to mend last week. I haven't been able to take a picture of her wearing it just yet, but here is a close up of the crochet lacy back... My SIl is so pleased with it, and now I am making her a crochet yoga mat carrier.
