6 Little Crochet Mermaids

Mermaid inspiration is back... this time with the little Kelly dolls!

The Little Mermaid Set

The little crochet mermaid set for children fashion dolls has 3 mermaid tail options, 6 little tops, and 6 fashionable hair accessories.

*These fit the Kelly doll by Mattel. 

First we have the mermaid tails that help the dolls to become mermaids.

The first tail pictured above is the original tail that is derived from the original Fashion Doll Mermaid outfit I crocheted for the Barbie doll by Mattel.  It uses the crocodile stitch.

The second one is a more slimmer and simple tail that I decided to do because the original tail is a bit bulky on the smaller dolly.  I am debating whether I want to do a similar one for the Barbie dolls too... what do you think?

The final tail is the same as the first, and it the first test of the tail pattern with beads.  I did 3 little seed beads per crocodile stitch, and I think it turned out really cute!  Now I have to make another one for the Barbie fashion doll with beads. 

The crocodile stitch mermaid tails also come with these snug mermaid socks to keep the little feet from poking out of the holes.

It was actually these little socks that inspired the design of the simple mermaid tail for this little dolly.

Next, we have these adorable little mermaid tops.  Each one has its own style, and they have been crocheted in a way that makes it easier to dress the little dolls.  For some, I tucked away the tails, and for the others, I left the tails because it looked really sweet.

Finally we have the mermaid hair accessories...

There are 2 types of accessories - headbands and prongs, and there are 2 statement pieces - the starfish and the sea flower.

That makes 4 hair accessory options.  See the 6 I did for the set to the right...

I am planning to make mermaids of all the doll sizes.  Plus, I will also be making some sea creatures to go with them.  I plan to make the patterns of all of these available together as a bundle, but I will also have them available separately.  I am working to have these patterns available as soon as I can.
