Amigurumi is such a fun beginner’s technique.  What is also great about it is how flexible it is when it comes to yarn and hook choices.  If you want to make this bigger, or you simply don’t have crochet thread or small hook sizes, you can use worsted weight or sport yarn.  Just be sure to use the hook size that produces tight stitches with the yarn you have chosen and visa versa.

• Size with Crochet Cotton Thread #10 & 1.5mm Hook: 10.5 cm (4.5")

• crochet cotton thread size 10+/- (I used *Ciruculo Clea but you can use any brand you prefer) - about 60-85m (7-15g, or less than 1oz) in white, and small amounts in green, red, brown and black.
• 1.5mm hook
• tapestry needle
• polyester fiberfil

Little Hat Band Instructions: Make 1

with green, ch 13

row 1:  sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 1, f/o with tail.

Use tail to sew band onto rnds 11 and 12 of hat, and then onto rnd 2 of top of snowman.  Before sewing completely closed, stuff the hat a little.

with green, ch 49

row 1:  sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 1, f/o; weave in ends.

with brown...

Little Carrot Nose Instructions: Make 1

with orange...

Sew onto snowman’s face.

Embroider eyes and mouth onto face in black.  Then, embroider buttons with black onto middle body
