I am so excited to publish the first part of the Tapestry Crochet ABC Blocks Pattern!
Part One of the ABC Block Series shows you how to tapestry crochet the letters A, B, C and D as little squares. Each of these squares include both tapestry graphs and written word charts. Additionally, I have made a video tutorial that will show you how to crochet these squares (included below). So if you're new to tapestry crochet, you'll be able to make these squares with great ease. You don't have to turn these squares into blocks later. You may like to make a fun doll quilt with them instead, or perhaps you want to combine the letters to spell out names, phases or words in your very own creative tapestry crochet project. Have fun with these and let your imagination go wild!

Here's the first part of five in the Wedding Accessory series for Fashion Dolls.
This how-to-tutorial includes written instructions to make several types of headpieces such as crowns, tiaras and headbands, and how you can come up with some of your very own designs too. There are 8 crochet versions and 4 wire-beaded versions in this tutorial. Each of the crochet version can also be crocheted with beads (if you need a video tutorial for this, let me know, and I will see what I can do). Each of the wire-beaded versions come with their very own video tutorials below. These headpieces can be used on their own as a stylish accessory for your fashion doll outfits, or you can use them to fasten the veils (now available here) into place for your barbie weddings.
The Pretty in Pink crochet pattern is finally here!
I still have some things to do before the video tutorials will be ready, but I decided that I would add them in later... Update: Video Tutorial is Live! This free crochet pattern has everything you need to crochet serval sweet outfits for children fashion dolls like Kelly in no time at all. Plus, since the Chelsea doll is only a little bit taller than Kelly, all you have to do is increase the lengths (how many rows you do) of the tops, dresses, etc., and you'll have pretty outfits for her too! The following directions include instructions on how to crochet dressy dresses, simple dresses, dressy skirts, simple skirts and pants. Both kinds of dresses have a couple top variations, plus several dress lengths. Both kinds of skirts also have several lengths, and the pants have capri and shorts variations. A PDF Version of this pattern is available, and you can add this to your ravelry queues and favourites here or below too... When, I was working on amigurumi projects last year, I came across a really neat tutorial on "All About Ami" for doing an "Invisible Decrease" (links to original tutorial) whenever a pattern calls for 2tog (a.k.a. sc2tog). I loved it so much that I use it in all my amigurumi projects now! For my newest fashion doll pattern, "Happily Ever After" (releasing tomorrow), I do several decreases just like the "Invisible Decrease" above. However, for this pattern, not only do I use this technique for single crochet (sc), but I also use it for double crochet (dc) and treble crochet (tr). So, the in the video below, I will show you how to do this for all three of these, and half double crochet (hdc) as well. Use this stitch whenever you would like to to turn 2 stitch spaces into 1. One stitch you will see frequently used in my crochet patterns is the bobble of 2. I use this stitch to create an increase in the row without increasing the stitch count of the row. This is helps to close up spaces in between double crochet stitches. These spaces can be extremely noticeable when working with thread as I frequently do. So, it is very handy to use this stitch when crocheting smaller things like fashion doll clothes and accessories, or where you would rather work double crochet stitches and not worry about having large wholes in the garment. I have recently joined a fantastic community of lovely crochet designers, and thought that it would be super fun to share some of their amazing designs with you.
