You'll remember from last week that I had asked several of my crochet designing buddies what their most favourite pay patterns from their shops were (see Designer Favourites - Crochet Pattern Round Up)...
Seeing how we all love a good freebie too, I also asked them for their most favourite free crochet patterns! So, here they all are rounded up just for you...

The Pretty in Pink crochet pattern is finally here!
I still have some things to do before the video tutorials will be ready, but I decided that I would add them in later... Update: Video Tutorial is Live! This free crochet pattern has everything you need to crochet serval sweet outfits for children fashion dolls like Kelly in no time at all. Plus, since the Chelsea doll is only a little bit taller than Kelly, all you have to do is increase the lengths (how many rows you do) of the tops, dresses, etc., and you'll have pretty outfits for her too! The following directions include instructions on how to crochet dressy dresses, simple dresses, dressy skirts, simple skirts and pants. Both kinds of dresses have a couple top variations, plus several dress lengths. Both kinds of skirts also have several lengths, and the pants have capri and shorts variations. A PDF Version of this pattern is available, and you can add this to your ravelry queues and favourites here or below too... From the survey, the mermaids and wedding accessories are the top patterns you want next.
With Sharon needing the wedding accessories ASAP, I have started on getting those ready for you all first. So far, I've completed several headpieces - each can either be used alone as is, or can be used as a base for the veil, AND several flower appliques (those are for another post). Now I would love your help in naming all or any of the crowns, tiaras and headbands... At last, I have finished enough outfits to give you all a preview of my newest free pattern - Pretty in Pink! I have been working on this over the last few days just especially for you. This pattern will include directions to crochet two types of dresses - each with top variations and several dress lengths, two skirt variations that mimic the dress variations, and pants with capri and shorts variations. All of which can be pictured to the left... A few of the tops and dresses have been done more than once to go with all the skirts and pants for a total of 16 outfits. The dress variations form a backwards "L" in the picture with the 4 dressy dresses in the vertical line to the right, the 3 simple dresses in the horizontal line on the bottom, and Kelly modeling the original dressy dress up top. Then, the first row of tops are paired with the pant variations, the second row of tops are paired with the simple skirts, and the third are paired with the dressy skirts. About half of the tops are dressy variations and the other half are simple variations...
At last... the crochet pattern for fashion dolls you have all been waiting for is finally available for purchase! Pattern is fully written, and it has a name! There were so many wonderful suggestions, but I absolutely feel madly in love with Brittany Johnson's pattern name suggestion. Thank you so much Brittany Johnson for your "Cheesy", but Fabulous Name Suggestion: The "Happily Ever After" Collection. Officially, it will be called: "Happily Ever After" Crochet Pattern for Fashion Dolls. Brittany, you will be receiving a free copy of this pattern as soon as it is ready. Just need to finish a few more dresses for the cover photo before I can release it. After writing up much of the pattern, I decided that the high-low and fishtail dresses could use a bit of tweaking. So I set to work on them write away. I started with the sweetheart scoop high-low first, since I still had some lavender. The first one of these was a bit more rigid. The tweaking helped to loosen it up a bit. Plus, the high-low is much more pronounced now. See first picture below for comparison. I did the fuller high-low next in blue. It is now more flowy. You can see the comparison to first in the last three pictures below. The last one to be modified was the illusion fishtail dress. I didn't have any more white on hand, but I did have some cream/ivory colour. So, I used that, and had just enough to finish the dress. The second two pictures below show the comparison between both fishtail dresses. Just need to sew some snaps onto all of the dresses, and take proper pictures for pattern cover photo. If all goes well, this pattern shall be ready by the end of this week.
