Amigurumi Abayomi Lion CAL - Part 2

Welcome to part two of the amigurumi Abayomi lion crochet-a-long. It's time to crochet Abayomi's arms, legs and tail. So grab your hooks and yarn, and let the crocheting fun begin!

Lion Arm Instructions:

Make 2

*Use MC

   rnd 1: sc 6 into a magic circle (6 sts)
   rnd 2: sc 2 into each st around (12 sts)
   rnd 3: [sc, sc 2 into next st] x 6 (18 sts)
   rnd 4: [sc 2, sc 2 into next st] x 6 (24 sts)
   rnd 5-8: sc 24 for 4 rnds
   rnd 9: sc2tog x 6, sc 12 (18 sts)
   rnd 10: sc2tog x 6, sc 6 (12 sts)

Start stuffing the arm here & as you go along...

   rnd 11-18: sc 12 for 8 rnds, sl st join to first st of last rnd, f/o (if you will be sewing your arms onto the body, f/o with a long tail).

Finish stuffing arms and set aside.

Lion Leg Instructions:

Make 2

*Use MC

   rnd 1: sc 6 into a magic circle (6 sts)
   rnd 2: sc 2 into each st around (12 sts)
   rnd 3: [sc, sc 2 into next st] x 6 (18 sts)
   rnd 4: [sc 2, sc 2 into next st] x 6 (24 sts)
   rnd 5: [sc 3, sc 2 into next st] x 6 (30 sts)
   rnd 6: [sc 4, sc 2 into next st] x 6 (36 sts)
   rnd 7-12: sc 36 for 6 rnds
   rnd 13: sc2tog x 8, sc 20 (28 sts)
   rnd 14: sc2tog x 10, sc 8 (18 sts)

Start stuffing the leg here & as you go along...

   rnd 15-24: sc 18 for 10 rnds, sl st join to first st of last rnd, f/o (if you will be sewing your legs onto the body, f/o with a long tail).

Finish stuffing legs and set aside.

Lion Tail Instructions:

Make 1

*Use MC 

   rnd 1: sc 10 into a magic circle (10 sts) *Optionally - if you find that working rnd 1 in this manner leaves a huge hole, you may prefer to sc 5 into a magic circle. Then work the next rnd with 2 sc in each st, so you end with 10 sts. If you do it this way, you may want to add an extra rnd of the lion tail hair instructions below.

It would be best to wait until you’ve added the tail hairs to stuff the tail. If that is too challenging, stuff the tail as you go along instead...

   rnd 2-21: sc 10 for 20 rnds, sl st join to first st of last rnd, f/o (if you will be sewing your tail onto the body, f/o with a long tail).
 

Lion Tail Hair Instructions:
These instructions are more of a guideline. Feel free to make changes to get the fullness you are looking for, and if you happen to miss a chain or stitch, no worries...

• Make a slip knot with AC. Working counterclockwise, insert hook into the very first st of rnd 1 and poke it out through the center of the magic circle, make a sc here, (ch 10, insert hook into the next st of rnd 1 and again poke it out through the center of the magic circle, make a sc here) rep this around in each st for rnd 1. 
• Ch 10, insert hook into first st of rnd 2 (it will just seem like the next st from rnd 1 due to the continuous rnds) and poke it out through the first st of rnd 1, make a sc here, (ch 10, insert hook into the next st of rnd 2 and poke it out through the next st of rnd 1, make a sc here) rep this around rnd 2. 
• Ch 10, insert hook into the first st of rnd 3 (it will just seem like the next st from rnd 2 due to the continuous rnds) and poke it out through the first st of rnd 2, make a sc here, sl st join to the closest sc from the previous rnd of tail mane sts, f/o and hide tails inside tail.

You should have approximately 21 loops give or take a few. Finish stuffing the tail now.
