Now that I am finished with "Happily Ever After" I can finally get back to working on my little brother's Chess Set. And I did just that on the weekend by adding 4 more finished pieces - the King, the Queen, a Castle and a Knight - to the set for a total of 13 so far. Only 3 more red pieces remain, and then I'll need to go hunting for a nice blue to match it. Technically the Knight isn't finished yet since I still have to do the eyes, but I am not certain yet if I want to do them in blue or another colour. So I am holding off on that bit for now. I just love how vibrant this red is, and I just hope I am able to find a really nice blue to compliment this red. My brother wants a lighter blue shade, so I will have to see which one looks nicest with this. I don't know how it is for you, but for me, it is always so exciting seeing a project come together - particularly one that takes lots of time. And I can tell you this one is quite an undertaking. Very easy to crochet, but you do need a bit of patience to stick to it. I guess that is why it is good that I have been working on this one in between other projects.
