Part 2 - Wedding Accessories - Floral Appliques

Here's the second part of five in the Wedding Accessory series for Fashion Dolls.

This how-to-tutorial includes written instructions to crochet several mini flowers that you can use to embellish your fashion doll dresses and veils.

Each of these can be made bigger or smaller depending on your chosen hook size and thread or yarn.

You'll Need:

• crochet cotton thread #10 or smaller - the flowers in these pics were made with threads #10, #20 and #60 - the larger the number of the thread, the smaller it is. Alternatively, use any yarn you like to create different sizes and textures
• 1.05mm hook - and/or smaller - but if you want to make larger flowers, use a larger hook size - hook sizes used in these pics are 1.05mm and one I have that says size 14 (I think it is a 0.6mm hook)

Not required for this pattern since you get to play around with sizes.

Pattern Notes:

All of these flowers are worked in 1-3 rounds starting with a magic circle, and are 5 petal based, but you could easily change them to a 6 or 7 petal based flower by increasing the number of reps.

A few of the flowers have one round that is split into two parts where you work into the front loops first, then you work into the back loops.

You will want to fasten off with a long tail to sew these onto your desired garment, otherwise just hide your tails.

Double Rnd 2 - 5 Petal Flower Instructions:

When made with a 1.05+mm hook and thread #10+, this makes a great statement flower to go with the a cage veil for Barbie’s hair.

Variation 1 with 2 Leaves Instructions (Top 2):
Change rnd 2b to this...
in BL: sc, (sc, dc, tr, dtr, tr, dc, sc) in same st x 2, sc 2, sl st join, ch 1, f/o (17 st)

Variation 2 Single Rnd 2 Instructions (Bottom 2):
Instead of doing rnd 2a in FL only, work into both lps, and omit rnd 2b.
