My Only Sunshine - amigurumi crochet pattern - is here to brighten your day!
Grab your copy in the latest issue of Get Stuffed Magazine featuring several summer patterns. Or, purchase the PDF version of the My Only Sunshine from my Shop or Ravelry for only $3.75.
Get Stuffed was looking for more summery patterns with basic, easy designs for their next issue. I was wrapped up in my Otis Giraffe CAL, so I knew I needed something that would work up quick.
Sunshine is the first thing I think of when I think summer, so I thought it would be fun to whip up this fun charm that doubles as so much more... Plus, basic shapes means this pattern is great for beginners and novice crocheters alike!
I crocheted the first demo in a bold yellow thread (Circulo Clea - colourway 1289).
Then, I got this warm yellow acrylic yarn to work the photo tutorials included in the pattern - they show the assembly and how to make the hanging loop!
Crochet this sunshine in thread for a delightful key or bag charm, or mini ornament.
Crochet it in yarn for an adorable addition to a baby mobile, or as a fantabulous ornament or rear-view car mirror decoration too! You are only limited by your imagination...
When crocheted with cotton thread size 10 and paired with a 1.05mm hook, this bright sunshine is about 3.25" (8cm) tall. Sun rays are about 1" (2.5cm) long. Sun circles are about 1.25" (3cm) in diameter.
When crocheted with worsted (WW / 4:Medium / 10 ply UK) yarn and paired with a 3.75mm hook, this warm sunshine is about 6.5" (16cm) tall. Sun rays are about 2" (5cm) long. Sun circles are about 2.5" (6cm) in diameter.
A huge thank you to my testers, Despina, Laura, Ramona & Sharon for whipping up their adorable rays of sunshine on such short notice. And thanks to my lovely tech editor, Theresa too!
Grab your copy today, and show some love on Ravelry too!
Thanks as always for visiting! Have a bright, sun-shining day...
