March 9th is Barbie Day!

I've grown up playing with Barbies and even at 26, I delight in playing with my dolls. Of course, how I play with Barbies today is completely different to when I was a little girl.

As a little girl, it was all about the fun stories I would make with my dolls and mimicking life around me. As a teen, there were fewer stories and more dressing up my dolls in pretty clothes and giving them lovely hairdos. Now, it's all about what I can make them and sharing them with you!

It never ceases to amaze me what I can crochet them when I let my imagination go wild. I just love the fun they bring, and I feel so delighted that I get to work with Barbies all the time.

Barbie made her debut in New York on this day back in 1959 and I am so glad she did!
