Without further ado, let me introduce you to this week's Friday Feature...

Ashley Bower of Looping with Love

Ashley originally learned to crochet when she was 11, but she retaught herself to crochet again in 2010, about 6 years ago, and that's when Looping with Love was born too.

She loves crocheting because she says, "The versatility thrills me with how you can truly create anything you envision."

Her most favourite go-to yarns to work with are worsted weight yarns, especially Red Heart, Caron Simply Soft and Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn (size 4), simply because they are available in most areas. That said, Ashley declares, "But, I absolutely Love working with Lion Brand's Homespun! I love the texture of it and how it quickly works up - even with a smaller hook size, and creates a warm and some what dense item."

Ashley loves Tim Burton's work! She confesses, "There's one fandom that I'm absolutely yarn over hook over (see what I did there? lol), and that's The Nightmare Before Christmas!"

When she's not crocheting, she's working at her day job and spending time with her family. She says,"Sadly, my crochet time has dwindled down lately because I went back to a job with a work week of M-F. So when I'm "off," I try to spend as much time with my family as I can, and create memories for my girls."
