Here's a couple of snoods I have crocheted. The one to the left was for a colleague of my fiance, and the one below was made for my stepmother.
The are worked in rounds, starting at the center and increasing until it reaches the size of a dinner plate. From there, the rows are decreased slightly. It is then fastened off, and a chain string is weaved around the edge to tighten the snood on the head.
It can be worn in many different ways. This is just one of them.
