This crochet barbie skirt goes to the knees but rounds can be repeated to make it longer. It uses a snap fastener in the back.
For this skirt, you will need to know how to single crochet, how to do chains, and how to make a shell stitch.
- crochet cotton thread (I used ciruculo clea but you can use any brand you prefer)
- 1.7mm hook
- 3/8" snap, or fastener of your choosing.

5 double crochets into the same stitch
ch 34, pull tight on last ch.
sc into 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across.
sc across 33 st, ch 1, pull tight, turn.
sc 3, (sc 2, scinc, sc 2) x 6, ch 1, pull tight, turn.
sc 39 over sts, ch 1, pull tight, turn.
sc 39 over st, do not turn.
*From here we will start working in the rnd.
sc into 4th st of row 7, sc 32 over next st, sc last 3 st with the skipped first 3 st of row: going through the skipped st first then the last st.
(sc, scinc, sc) x 12, ch 1, pull tight.
(sc, skip 2 st, shell, skip 2 st) x 8, sl st join to first st.
ch 3, dc 2 into same st, (skip 2 st, sc, skip 2 st, shell) x 11, skip 2 st, sc, skip 2 st, dc 2 into first st.
repeat rnds 10 & 11 alternately ending with rnd 10. Keep going until you reach the length you like.
