Crochet Barbie Kitty

It is official!  Barbie has become a cat woman.

Meet Black Kitty, White Kitty and Boris Kitty.

Barbie's White Crochet Kitty

As you all know, I have been working on a Crochet Barbie Witch, and to make her set complete she would need a kitty cat.  So I set off to design the crochet barbie kitty.  

To come up the the design, I thought it would be best to make a kitty in white, rather than black first, as black is a hard colour to work amigurumi, especially when you don't always have the best lighting.  I knew I wanted the kitties to be posable.  So, I used pipe cleaners for the legs.  I also wanted them to be just the right size.  They are all 5.75 cm (2.25") in length (not including tail), 4.5 cm (1.75") in height (whilst standing), and 1.25 cm (0.5") in width.  I present to you the White Kitty...

Barbie's Black Crochet Kitty

After I had finished making the white kitty, it was time to crochet the black kitty to go with the the Barbie Witch.  So, I quickly whipped up this little guy.  He has the same measurements as the white kitty.

Barbie's Boris Crochet Kitty

I had shown a gal friend of mine pictures of the white kitty, and she fell in love with it, so I told her it could be a belated birthday present for her.  I also, mentioned that I needed to make a black kitty to go with my barbie witch.  She got all excited and asked me if I could make her a mini Boris instead.  So, she send me pictures and I did just that.  Barbie will be helping me send Boris to his new owner this weekend.
