The new year is fast approaching, and will be here in just a few days.  I have several projects planned this year, but I would love to get your thoughts too.  Is there anything particular that you would like to crochet this year?  If you share with me below, I will see what I can do...

I have been having so much fun with the custom order I am currently working on for January!  Of five little outfits, I have completed four, and only one remains.  

I am really surprised with how quickly I have been crocheting them.  The first four outfits are very similar and follow the same design.  I am thinking this is the main reason that I have been crocheting them at a faster rate than anticipated.  It just goes to show how much time the designing phase really takes.  

When I am designing, I have to pause at the end of every row to write down what I have done, so that I do not forget it.  However, since those four outfits were so similar, this meant that I didn’t have to pause every few minutes to write something down.  I could just crochet away without a care in the world.  

This is such a great feeling!  It is what crochet is really about to me.  It is a great way to relax and just be.  A bonus of course, is thinking about how much the receiver is going to like her gift.  It gets me so giddy with excitement!

Wow!  What a crazy few weeks it has been here at Rebeckah's Treasures, and with Christmas just around the corner, it can only get busier.  Can you believe there is only one month left this year?  Oh, how the time flies!

Lots of great things are in store, and I am so excited with all they will bring!

On to a little update...

I have finally finished with halloween projects, and the special custom order I was working on this month!  Patterns for my two halloween projects - Crochet Pumpkins Galore! and Crochet Barbie Witch - are available for sale in Rebeckah's Treasures Store.  However, my custom order that has yet to be revealed to you, will not be made into a pattern at this time, if even at all.  It will be shipped out tomorrow, and hopefully I will be able to share it with you on Thursday, if not Thursday, then definitely by next Sunday.

Now that those projects are out of the way, I can get into gear with all sorts of fun Christmas projects.  I have been aching to start crocheting christmas related things for quite some time now, and I have so many ideas planned.  I will try to do as many as I can for this year, but lots will have to wait until next year to be made.

I have already finished crocheting a snowman that is about 17 cm (6.5") tall for a friend.  It just needs to have its' pictures taken - will share it with you on Tuesday. I have also gotten started crocheting the trunk of what will be a crochet barbie christmas tree.  I have so many ideas for how it should be, but I am always happy to have your input/suggestions too.  After I get a brand new Ken doll, I will crochet Mr. & Mrs Barbie Clause.  Then, we will have to see how much time there is left to determine if I will crochet more christmasy things after all that.  One thing that is for certain is I intend to make patterns of all of the christmasy projects I do this year.

After all the fun christmas stuff, I will get back to work on another custom order that I have for January.
