Crochet Barbie & Ken Mint Formal Set

This my third fancy Barbie outfit and my first attempt at making a Ken tuxedo outfit.  I made this for my sister, Little Miss', birthday in August of 2011.

I had seen some pictures online of crocheted barbie dresses with lace.  So, I wanted to try that because I thought it was so pretty.  I wasn't sure where to start on Ken's tuxedo jacket, so I went searching online for a pattern.  

Barbie's Set contains 4 pieces... The dress - which has a double skirt, a hat, a purse with a snap for fastening, and shoes (I, finally, figured out how to make them with heels!).  Barbie's outfit is completely from my own imagination and my own original design.

Ken's Set contains 5 pieces... A dress jacket, trousers, a dress shirt, a cummerbund, and a pair of shoes.  Ken's outfit is part pattern with my own modifications and some elements were my own design.

All in all the whole set contains 9 pieces.  All of which were crocheted.
