Stitch 1 ~ Unknown Name
First stitch I am using is similar to the diamond stitch (links to video tutorial), but it is not the diamond stitch. In all honesty, I have no idea how it is called, or even if it has a name.
It is basically a foundation row of single crochet, then two repeat rows. One row of double crochet first. Then, a row of single crochet and double treble crochet into posts of the previous single crochet row. Starting chain is a multiple of 4 + 3, and each row has a multiple of 4 + 2 stitches.
I may perhaps write out the pattern for this stitch and post it to this blog next year. I may even do a video tutorial, if you would like. Sound off below with a yay or nay...
Stitch 2 ~ Reversible Shell Stitch
The second stitch I have using for this project, is the reversible shell stitch (links to an afghan pattern that uses this stitch).
I was originally looking for the interlocking shells stitch (links to pattern & video tutorial), but I couldn't remember the name until after I had found the reversible shell.
I decided that I wanted to do the reversible shell instead. A few slight changes were made to the pattern so that it could be what it is going to be.
