I have been a busy bee this past week! Four dress ideas are finished for my new pattern coming up, and a 5th is underway. I have to start off by noting that I am really impressed with how quickly I have been crocheting these dresses. Though, I must say that this will be a bonus for the pattern because let's face it, who doesn't love a crochet project that works quickly?

Around Christmastime 2011 (Literally), I started working on Barbie Wedding Sets for two of my sisters. Both of them adore Barbies, and they are obsessed with playing Barbie Wedding! Only they just had one simple barbie wedding dress and one formal suit for ken for both of them to share. They both asked me if I could make them their very own Barbie Wedding Dress, and I told them I would make them a full Wedding Party Set. They were both excited! Though they knew that this was going to be their Christmas Present, they also knew that it would not be ready for Christmas. I had thought about not telling them that I was going to make them a full set, but then I thought much time is going to go into this project. They should have a say in how they want it to be. Plus, my mom gave me some good pointers too. I worked on both sets at the same time, the Brides were done first and the Parents were done last. From start to finish, it took me a little less than 2 months (7-8 weeks) to complete both sets. Each was crafted from my own imagination, and everything, down to the shoes was crocheted with the exemption of the actual flowers.
