In the middle of August, I was stuck on what I wanted to make next. On facebook, I told my fans the colours I had on hand, and asked them for suggestions. Alison suggested something for halloween and Karen suggested a halloween costume and a black cat. So naturally, I took both of their suggestions, and created this Crochet Barbie Witch Costume.
She took a bit longer than some other projects because I had a few creative blocks. Plus, I had my free patterns for September to create, then I decided to crochet pumpkins on a whim, and finally, I needed to get my hands on a pipe cleaner and something to cut a wire hanger!
This crochet barbie witch pattern is now available as a paid pattern in my store. The pattern includes written instructions for all of the pieces pictured above, and photo tutorials for certain stages. A combination of amigurumi and free style are used to create the crochet barbie witch set.
Later this week, there will be a special offer for the pattern, and an exclusive special offer for my newsletter subscribers - details in tomorrow's newsletter...

Witch Hat & Heels
This barbie witch broom gets it shape from a wire coat hanger. It is a little bit tall in proportion to a broom for us, but it is the perfect size for Barbie when she rides her broom as you will see below.
First the green cover for the wire is crocheted. Then, the hanger is inserted. Afterwards, the broom sprigs are added, and the finishing touches are made.
It took me a while to finish this piece simply because I was trying figure out how I wanted to cut the hanger. If I hadn't figured it out, I was going to use a kabob stick. However, I was determined for it to have a bent shape, so I just used my own muscle power to cut it.
Barbie Witch's Black Crochet Kitty Cat
This little guy is 5.75 cm (2.25") in length (not including tail), 4.5 cm (1.75") in height (whilst standing), and 1.25 cm (0.5") in width.
Next month, he will be made into a separate pattern with his kitty friends from Crochet Barbie Kitty.
