I followed Sharon's Tiny Crochet Bear Pattern to get this little bear. I used a slightly bigger hook and crochet thread, so he is a little bit bigger than Sharon's one.

I started with the fingers and thumb. Then I started working them into a hand, and in turn into an arm. Though before I finished the I arm, I decided that I needed a body to better determine the length of the arm. So I set to working on the toes joining, them to become a foot and in turn a leg. I did that with both feet/legs. Without fastening off on the second leg, I joined them together to start working the torso up to the top of the head. I then finished the arms and attached them to the body. I made the ears, eyes, nose and mouth and sewed them onto the face/head. For the hair, I did chains, attached to the head and chained some more. I repeated this process all over the head until I reached the fullness I wanted. Then I weaved in the ends. My mom loved the Snood I had made for My Crochet Variegated Set so much that she asked me to make her a lacy one to match her other crocheted apparel she had made. So I did! I made this in November of 2011. It is worked in rounds from the bottom. Then, I attach it to a hair tie at the top. This is attached to a barrette And lastly, I crocheted a pretty flower for the top part. Check out some other Crochet Snoods I have made. This my third fancy Barbie outfit and my first attempt at making a Ken tuxedo outfit. I made this for my sister, Little Miss', birthday in August of 2011. I had seen some pictures online of crocheted barbie dresses with lace. So, I wanted to try that because I thought it was so pretty. I wasn't sure where to start on Ken's tuxedo jacket, so I went searching online for a pattern. Barbie's Set contains 4 pieces... The dress - which has a double skirt, a hat, a purse with a snap for fastening, and shoes (I, finally, figured out how to make them with heels!). Barbie's outfit is completely from my own imagination and my own original design. Ken's Set contains 5 pieces... A dress jacket, trousers, a dress shirt, a cummerbund, and a pair of shoes. Ken's outfit is part pattern with my own modifications and some elements were my own design. All in all the whole set contains 9 pieces. All of which were crocheted. This my second attempt at making a more formal outfit for Barbie. I made this for my youngest sister, who is obsessed with barbies, for her birthday in May of 2011. Red is the colour I had on hand, and she like red well enough, so I used red. The first few pictures show dress colour best. I was changed the setting so that the details of the dress could be better observed, but that made the dress look orangey. This is a 6 or 7 piece set depending on whether or not you count the shoes as a pair or separately. This set contains a dress, a sweater, a hat, a purse, a pair of shoes/slippers (I hadn't figured out how to make the heels yet), and panties (which is something my sister is also obsessed with her barbies having!). Continue reading to see more pictures of this set. I had been wanting to expand my barbie clothe making technique for a little while and make something fancy. So when a friend of mine invited me to her daughter's birthday, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to attempt it. The first photos in the gallery below are from I had finished it off and had used all of the yarn I had, but when I was visiting with my mom, she happened to have some of the lavender colour, so I was able to add some flowers to the bottom of the dress and make a pretty little hat to match. This is a 3 piece set that has a dress with two skirts, a purse that snaps closed, and a hat. I made this in February of 2011. Continue reading to see more pictures of this set. Here's a little fun I had with piping floral decorations onto a few carrot cake with cream cheese icing!
The first cake in pictures below was my first attempt at piping flowers. I made that cake for a friend and her mother's Birthday. After crocheting so many things for others, I decided it was about time I crocheted something for me. So, I went to work, and this is were my inspiration led me. I had a general idea in my head on how I wanted the overall look to be, but I didn't know how it was going to look until I was done. With this project, I had gotten used up one skein of yarn, only to find out that I had made it too big. So, I had to rip it all apart, and start from scratch. It is never fun to do that. However, luckily, I got the size right the second time and the rest of the set went off without a hiccup. This set includes a top, a bra to wear underneath, a purse, and two hair accessories (snood and scrunchy) to interchange. Personally, I think the snood is more fun and elegant looking! I used one of the different shell stitches for the top, the diamond stitch for the purse, and single crochet for the bra. This project took me about a week, if you don't include the initial mistake. I made this in September of 2011. |
